As many of their family and friends are aware, the beautiful and usually smiley, happy baby boy, Floyd Buxton is very unwell at the moment and needs your help.

Floyd has been diagnosed with a rare disease called Kawasaki syndrome. He also has an aneurysm on his heart, pneumonia, swelling on one of his kidneys, a UTI, high temperature, sickness and diarrhoea, Floyd is being fed through a tube into his tummy and after the blisters took over his entire body (including in his mouth stopping him from eating) he is now losing finger nails and toe nails and his skin is very sore and peeling away, he has lost a vast amount of weight in a very short time and is needing round the clock care. On Thursday the family will have to be taken via ambulance to Great ormond street to see a specialist.

Little Floyd has been in hospital for 3 weeks now (including on his very first birthday) and his parents are understandably very worried and stressed out beyond words. Georgie (Floyd's mother) hasn't left Floyd's side the entire time little Floyd has been unwell in hospital and Father Leigh only to try and keep things afloat best he can at home which has been very trying and stressful for the couple.

Now as you can imagine, their situation has had huge financial implications. His parents have lost 3 weeks wages (so far) in order to be at the hospital 24/7 with Floyd, the hospital car park is very expensive and having to rely on hospital canteen food every day to eat has been very hard on them, the petrol back and forth to the hospital each day is adding up and not only have they had this worry but they obviously have rent and Bill's to pay at home too. Not knowing how they will survive financially one day to the next is not something they should have to worry about or focus on at this time with baby Floyd being so poorly.

Being a friend of the family, I know the couple well enough to know that they would never accept or ask for help even when struggling, now i know alot of friends and family have been asking what they can do to help including myself, therefore i thought we could all come together and try to raise as much as we can for 'Floyd's one less worry fund' in hope to support and help the family at this stressful time and give little Floyd support in his battle with this disease. I know any help would be very much appreciated and would mean the world to the family.
