Story
In the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo many children have no access to schools they have little chance of escaping the poverty they have been born into. Most families live on as little as $1 a day which is equivalent to just 80 pence. Our aim at the Bobby Football Foundation is to give the young generation the basic education that every single child is entitled to. We provide mathematic and English lessons as well as football training throughout the week and football matches on weekdays against local clubs. I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 1991 but my family moved to the United Kingdom in 1996 due to the civil war which took millions of lives. I am proud of both of my countries , England and the DRC, I class myself as Conglese as well as English. I am thankful for the opportunities I have been provided with here in England and I believe that I can take what I have learnt back to the Democratic Republic of Congo and try to help the lives of others. Every single penny raised will be used on the Bobby Foundation - the funding will assist in providing books, pens, pencils, school bags, payment of tutors, football kits, boots and lunch and clean bottled water. Every penny counts, please donate what you can to change a life today.
