Story
Bob a gorgeous stray turned up in our cul-de-sac about a year ago, sleeping under cars and on doorsteps, no collar no microchip, we all fed and him. In winter we were so worried for him, but a lovely lady neighbour took him in, bought him a bed and litter tray. Bob was happy, he has bad legs and walks with a limp but comes to all our houses for food and fuss, we have fallen in love with him. Last week Bob was passing blood in his urine, took him to vets and was given antibiotics and anti-inflammatory for cystitis. Seemed to improve, but Fri night he took a turn for the worse and collapsed, rushed him to out of hours vet in Bury, they found a blocked penis, which they cleared but kept him in for blood test, scan, a drip & meds. Sat he took another bad turn and had to have a catheter inserted to empty his bladder, he was also full of poo and had an enema. He has had bladder and bowels flushed through, been on a drip and meds, it's possible it is a nerve problem which they can't do anything about, if he starts going to the toilet himself all might be OK for him, we have everything crossed. He now has a warm bed, food and lots of love he deserves to be here longer to enjoy it! Vet bill to date is approx. £700!! We are fortunate that Cats Protection are helping with some of it, but they are a charity and don't have a bottomless pit of funds. So we are appealing to everyone, if you could even donate £1 towards Bob's care, we would be so so grateful, thankyou xxx
