I've raised £2000 to help with Gizmo's Vets Bills

Gizmo recently had surgery for a torn cruciate ligament in his right back leg. I have him insured on a lifetime policy with unlimited conditions per year with a limit of £2,000 per condition. I have to pay £99 excess and also 20% of the final bill as he is over 8yrs old. The insurance company deduct the excess and the 20% from the £2,000 and whats left pays some of the bill but falls short .The pre-op appointments, scans, xrays and ultrasounds, the surgery, the post op medications xrays and emergency appointments and extra medication he has needed and still needs, plus hydrotherapy, is more than double the insured limit and around £4,500.
Gizmo has a heart condition and therefore can’t be exercised to build up the muscle that has wasted due to the condition and the surgery. The vet has recommended hydrotherapy which will build that muscle back up again. I cannot even consider that as I just don’t have the money. If he doesn’t have hydrotherapy there is a higher risk of his other cruciate going, something which the vet has said is very likely to happen sooner or later. So I am asking for your help. I am at my wits end to know how to pay for all this as I am retired and living on a very limited income.
I won't be able to afford the hydrotherapy for Gizmo, I just want to pay off the outstanding vets bill as it stands at the moment.
