I've raised £1000 to Help develop a library in primary schools in Livingstone, Zambia to improve young peoples chances of a better future through education.

In 2016 our teacher Miss Baird volunteered in Highlands Primary School, Zambia. While there she would read to the pupils from a book as there were not enough books to go around. Some classes had as many as 50 pupils in the one room. Since returning pupils at Hermitage Academy and the local community have donated and sent over 1300 books. Transporting the books costs a lot of money. Therefore, we are planning an excursion in 2019 to take over even more books! Our aim is to raise literacy levels across Livingstone and promote education as a means to a better future. Here's how it all started...
