Raising money for Arnhem Wharf Primary, Tower Hamlets, to enable them to buy 540 new reading books, providing one each to the 90 children in each of their Y1-Y6 year groups.

Achieving this goal will ensure that all children are able to continue their education during the coronavirus pandemic, even if they have to isolate at home and have little access to remote learning.

Barclays has had a close relationship with the school for several years, running coding and language learning clubs. Covid-19 means that we’re unable to help face-to-face, but we’d like to continue to help the school with this urgent need.

To raise money for this great cause, a group of us will be collectively, virtually walking from the South Coast to Yorkshire over the course of a week (and abiding by lockdown rules). It’s a total of 250 miles / 400km, that’s a lot of steps! We will start on Monday 23rd November 2020.
