Books and Banter has been a safe and inclusive space that we have poured our souls into building for the community over the last 3 years. We are not simply a books and games shop or a live music venue, we are a community that has built and grown.

It breaks my heart that it has come to this but after 18 months of battling leaks and roof issues we have had to temporarily close our doors. We have had several ceilings collapse. Our landlord is unable to fix the building for the foreseeable future and our only hope is to try and find any alternative home, but we need your help. We need to move to a new venue and need your support to do this.

We know things are tight and completely understand if people can't hope, but if we have even the slightest chance of saving what we've built, we need your help, every little helps as they say and if you can't help directly, sharing or posting will help too.

We don't want to loose our beautiful community, but we don't know what else to do. Our world has literally fallen apart over the last 48 hours and we didn't want to ask for help but we don't know what else to do.

We love and appreciate each of you that has become just important parts of our community and our family and we hope and pray that this is not the end of the adventure for us together.
