Story
My name is Johanna Whitehead and I am an Independent Organiser with Usbourne Books at Home. I am currently working with Bay Hospitals Charity, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Furness General Hospital, Westmorland General Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital, Ulverston Community Health Centre on a project which will be used to buy new books which will buy new books for the Childrens Wards and other departments within the hospital.
My aim is to raise at least £500 per hospital which would allow the hospital to purchase a substantial amount of new books and activities. I have also personally pledged to donate an additional 10% of the total raised in order to provide the hospital with more free books.
Being in hospital can be an overwhelming and scary time for children and young people and books would provide a welcome distraction that may help any visit or stay within the hospital environment. I am writing asking if you could make a contribution, however small this be, to this cause. In return I can provide you with a certificate which you are able to display to your customers and clients to make them aware that you have donated to this cause.
Any support that you can give will be gratefully received.
Thank You
