Boom Arts Academy was founded in 2015 by Principle Isla Selley. She works alongside the performing arts industry and has performed herself from the age of three years old.

Isla's passion is to encourage children's love for music and dance and enhance their learning, by giving her love and passion along the way among all the boom arts academy team and teachers, and most of all improve their confidence and ability to learn.

By asking for funding it will allow our students to have the right equipment for cheerleading and tumble that are very expensive. Each mat alone costs £1000 so if we had the correct funding we could accelerate this Academy that has only been running for a year but has gone from strength to strength.

It has been proven that children with disability and mobility problems improve their learning and progression through strengthening their muscles and co-ordination with dance. We have one student with extreme autism that has grown exceptionally walking into a room not being able to stand among others or hear any noises that were unexpected, to now performing in festivals and becoming such a confident and amazing performer.

With this funding we can offer scholarships to special need and children in need of enhancing their learning, confidence and ability from low income families that would not be able to afford the fees. It also gives adults much needed respite. We are looking to offer jobs to special needs children at the age of 16 to bring them into a normal working environment but with the understanding of their abilities. This has not been done so far in the performing world.

I have a a strong passion and understanding for this, already working in association with autism and special needs for all ages at schools, workshops and after school clubs.

We are looking to open a charity but this is the first step on the ladder and all your support will be highly appreciated.
