Weʼre raising £1,000 to help young people in North East london learn how to build soundsystems, as well as learning musical history!
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We're helping young people build sound systems in North East London, enabling young people to get their local music scene active, stimulating grassroots music in urban areas where there aren't a lot of musical opportunities.
We will teach young people about how to design speakers for their required purpose, from small scale portable systems to larger PA systems. This will enable them to provide a musical platform for their peers, spawning a range of grassroots music events and culture.
This will be working towards BOOMBOX CHALLENGE, a competitive soundclash from the mini to the mega systems, with prizes for all levels.
We will be looking to partner with companies for prizes like paid internships at audio tech companies for the winners, as well as openings in the music industry.
If you would like to sponsor us, give us support or have an opportunity for a super skilled young person, contact us and we'll be delighted to work with you!
