Story

Music is the backbone of our artistic consumption, with most of us listening to it every single day. With bars, clubs, venues and festivals a distant memory due to the lockdown imposed by Covid-19, Born On Road wanted to make sure we were still getting our much needed musical doses, and so put together a virtual festival featuring a star studded line-up of the finest in the underground jungle/D&B world, all in aid of charity.

Crisis is a charity for homeless people who aim to support and provide accommodation for people all across the UK. With over 12,000 volunteers and a range of initiatives, they provide stability and security for one of the most at risk and vulnerable populations. Born On Road will be donating 50% of the proceeds from the stream to this organisation, alongside St Pauls Playground, one of Bristol's most important community centres. Providing a public and safe place for local families and vulnerable children, it was struck by a tragic arson attack during the recent lockdown. The donations from this stream will go to re-building the playground and ensuring families have a place to enjoy with their children.

Across the weekend you will be able to enjoy a myriad of music from the likes of Born On Road stalwarts, Aries, Ben Snow, Euphonique, Stivs and Kelvin 373 alongside a host of Bristolian friends & family such as Bish, Crossy, Gardna, Gray, Kamoh, Mandidextrous, Run Tingz and Selecta J-Man. If that wasn’t enough, some of the D&B communities biggest names such as Inja, L-Side, Ed Solo, DJ Hybrid, Sub Zero and Bladerunner will also be donning the decks as special guests in honour of this event. Spread across 3 days, you will be able to enjoy DJ sets, live PAs and some special guests yet to be announced.

As one of the leading the modern jungle/D&B imprints, Born On Road have developed a strong sonic identity, resonating deeply with the new and old generations of ravers alike. Spanning the spectrum in a way few imprints have, from ragga-licked rollers to amen-choppage, the Bristolian label has played an integral role in the healthy evolution of the jungle/D&B scene. With label takeovers now staples at the UK’s top festivals, and their tracks no strangers to chart success at Beatport, you’ll struggle to find a raver worth their salt that isn’t more than aware of this superb outfit. Now, they’re using the privilege of their influence and position to do some good for those in their community and across the nation, in a way that gives joy to those across the world.
