Story

Earlier this year i visited Zimbabwe, during my visit i decided to do a skydive jump to celebrate my 80th birthday with Skydiving Tandem Company. I completed the jump with a lovely young man called Ofir, it was a fabulous experience and he was there to help and guide me through each step. Last month i sadly heard that Ofir had tragically passed away from drowning after getting into difficulty below the Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River.

I have decided in memory of Ofir to complete a 100m abseil off the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on Sunday 16th June 2019 to raise funds for RLSS Boscombe Lifeguards a local Royal Lifesaving Society volunteer Lifeguard and Rescue Boat Unit who as well active patrols and event safety covers, carry out and promote water safety training and spread the word of being safe around water and what to do if you get in to difficulty. By supporting the work they do i hope this will help prevent further tragedies of young persons loosing their lives in the water.
