I've raised £1000 to Support ladies in the Wyre Forest area who have gone through or are going through Breast Cancer

Bosom Buddies Kidderminster was founded by Jo Buckland in February 2017 after her own breast cancer diagnosis and treatments.
Throughout her treatment Jo soon discovered there was very little in the way of support here in the Wyre Forest and took it upon herself to create her own bit of magic.
Old school friends Jo and I together with Stella, who herself had undergone treatment for breast cancer, formed Bosom Buddies Kidderminster, a Breast Cancer support group for ladies who have previously been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, or who are currently undergoing treatment.
As with all cancers Breast Cancer is something that lives within you in some form or another, for life, be it mentally or via the residual effects the treatment very Kindly leaves you with.
Along the way we have discovered that no two cancers are the same and no two treatments are the same, which makes each and everyone of us an individual with our own unique story to tell.
Social media has come a long way over recent years and we have found it to be a great source of communication for our ladies for all across the country. We do however respect the privacy of our members and our group remains a closed group leaving members to discuss personal issues in the confidence that they will remain private.
Our friendly and fun loving group meet weekly on a Monday morning at 10.30am at Gil's in Wolverley, and on the 3rd Monday of the month we hold a evening event at the Black Boy on Kidderminster Road, Bewdley, starting at 7.30pm.
As you can imagine the group has grown considerably since we first started, and now with a full committee behind us things are starting to look a lot more official.
Sadly there still isn't enough support out there from official sources so it is up to us ladies to continue to spread the word...with a little help from our friends that is.
The monies raised will go towards helping to keep the support group growing and hopefully eventually help us to find our own premises where we'll also be able to offer space to other support groups faced with the same dilemma as us here at BB.
We thank you for your continued support...especially Helen here who donated over £1000 to the group after a charity Breast Cancer event she hosted last year.

p.s. we also like to get out and about too. It's not all doom and gloom here at BB, it's about balance and lifestyle
