I've raised £800 to help fund a potentially life-saving defibrillator, which could be used by Boughton Primary School and the wider community.

Story

The incredibly moving scenes during the Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland, which saw a professional footballer essentially brought back to life by a defibrillator after suffering a cardiac arrest, has motivated us to raise money to get a defib for the school- something we have thought about doing for some time. Although Boughton has a defib at the village hall, it is quite far from the school. We would need to get there and back in under 5 minutes to help someone in the way Christian Eriksen was helped, which would be a big ask. With this event so fresh in everyone's minds, it is a good opportunity to make something positive happen and provide a potentially life-saving piece of equipment for the school and wider village community to access.
