On 6th November (so scarily in just 5 weeks) I will be attempting my first, and only, marathon in New York.

I am running for a childrens charity called Team for Kids and Matt's Fund, a charity we all know well.

I am aware that everyone has been very generous recently in supporting a number of events so i am extremely grateful for any donation people are able to make. We've seen the good work the donations made to Matt's Fund over the years and donating on this page will too act as a real motivation to me, both in training and on the day to ensure i go through the finish line in Central Park.

Matts Fund was established in 2008 following the death of Matt Boulton who battled Malignant Melanoma for a number of years. The fund has 3 aims:

- to raise awareness of Melanoma and its impact.
- to raise money for research into the disease.
- to provide funding for the aid and comfort of young adults struck by the disease.

To date, through the hard work of hundreds of supporters, the charity has raised over £150,000. This money has assisted in funding the work of Nottingham-based research scientists and medics in their quest to treat and ultimately cure this terrible disease.
