The bowling green was once home to 4 teams but with lack of new members has dwindled down to only one. This means the entire green has to be supported by the only one remaining team at huge expense. The members already pay subs but as many of them are old they cannot afford to increase this any further. For many of the group being part of the bowls team is a key source of exercise and socialisation and if it were to cease it would be a huge loss.
