I started working on B4S initially in my spare time, evenings weekends & also doing any work I could to pay towards the software development of the programming and the huge database that now controls B4S. We have the Android version of the app already live & we are now working on the Apple version, which we hope to have ready by the end of June.

The feedback from serving military personnel and from the likes of my local sea cadets and Army cadets not to mention the BBC TV in the Midlands, we know we have something worthwhile.

Your donations will go a long way to speeding up the process of development and continual development hopefully onto the second stage.

The next stage will be to setup as a formal charity to expand rapidly into taking on a warehouse, buying items wholesale and allowing servicemen and women to make up lists from our products that friends and relatives can then pick and we will aim to only employ ex military personnel to pick and pack and then send the care packages.

We are also going to develop within the app an adoption scheme, you may ask what is that. Well there are two distinct types of people that join the military, those who see it as a career and have the support of family and friends which is great, but many servicemen and women join because they have little or no family in civvie street. So we are going to allow members of the armed forces to sign up asking for their basic details to include the City/ town they originate from and any religious preferences and then ask organisations or people to adopt them. We will want Sea cadets, Ari cadets, Army cadets, Scout, Guide troops, Boys brigade or any organisation including the Salvation army, any religious groups, even a business/ national company could adopt someone. The idea is to form a bond and a line of communication, this helps boost their moral and makes people feel they are doing something to support our armed forces.

We can and will do this with little or no external funding, but the more money we raise the faster the project will develop. We will be adding adverts throughout the site/ the app and everywhere else to help boost income. We have started work on a business directory specifically aimed at B4S to list companies local and national who will offer special offers and discounts to military personnel.
