Bellevue Place Education Trust is crowdfunding

raised of £11,500 target by 37 supporters

Weʼre raising £11,500 to provide 510 Christmas Hampers to our pupil premium families, who are most in need.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

BPET has eight schools across London and the South East, bringing good and outstanding education to children from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances, ranging from some of the most affluent, to some of the most deprived, in England.

However, did you know that within our BPET family of eight schools, 22% of children qualify for Pupil Premium*? That means that at least 510 children across our Trust are classified as disadvantaged and we know that many of them and their families are living in relative poverty**.

Therefore, BPET has created a “Community Fund” project which will looks to raise funds from across our school, supplier and partner communities to help offer support to our families most in need.

We hope that families from across all of our schools who have secure incomes and due to the COVID pandemic may find that they have more funds available as, for example, they are currently unable to go holiday, eat out, take trips to theme parks, the theatre or cinema, will be able to contribute to our community fund with either a one-off donation or a regular donation.

We believe that, within our community is the power to help.

To launch the Community Fund, we are working with our Catering Partner ‘Caterlink” to provide each of our 510 families with a Christmas Hamper, which will include Fruit and Vegetable staples as well as some Christmas Treats.

Each Hamper costs £22.50 to create.

In the long term, we hope this may include buying essential clothing items, contributing to school uniform, providing IT connectivity for Home Learning (be it a device or ongoing access to the internet) or helping with the cost of transport to get to school, the ability for pupils to attend holiday clubs and go on trips.

We have been planning this project for a while, but it seems it is even more important now than ever ... we read this article in The Evening Standard newspaper on Monday 16th November as they launched a Christmas Appeal "Food for London now". Our schools are across London and the south East and all have families in need who receive pupil premium.
