Seven million people were exterminated during the Second World War just because of their ethnicity, their disability or just because they did not fit the "ideal" of the people in power at the time. Although there has not been any more world war, several genocides followed those atrocities and should never have happened. We therefore want to keep commemorating The Holocaust Memorial Day every year to raise awareness of those atrocities and of the need to never forget what happened.
