Please help us raise £30,000 to support BPUR covering the expenses of meetings and engagements with hundreds of legislators and officials worldwide to enact an ‘International Treaty to Ban the Political Use of Religion’, which would be a crucial foundation to disarm extremism and eliminate the abusive mixing of religion and politics.

The proposed treaty in this link, represent a new approach to introduce clear and indisputable international rules to ban: all political uses of religion that undermine human equality; all religious discrimination in rights and duties; all religious exclusion; and all restrictions to freedom of religion and belief.

No responsible government can refuse such fundamental fair rules, even perpetrators would lose any argument. This non-confrontational approach, which is grounded in the utmost respect for all religions, would easily apply to all violations and build global consensus to help the international community deal with current and future conflicts.

BPUR International is making remarkable progress, especially after their recent international conference in Morocco. Delegations from 35 countries have put the initiative firmly on the international stage and the Rabat Declaration has been sent to the UN, many governments and international organisations.

It has extensive support in more than 60 countries and now has many advanced engagements with governments, especially Austria, Morocco, UAE, Belgium, Italy, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, South Africa and many other countries at similar stages.

The proposed treaty would certainly be the ultimate tool for thousands of justice campaigns and would serve all international humanitarian objectives by eliminating the root causes of many conflicts and a long list of abuses of human rights. It would subsequently enhance stability and open the doors for sustainable development.

BPUR International is engaged with the Moroccan government to put the initiative on the international stage and has other advanced engagements with many other countries, including Italy, Austria, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Pakistan, Ghana, and DRC. We also have rapidly growing support in the European Parliament and many international organisations.

We are organising an international conference in Rabat on 7-8 April 2022; entitled "Global rules for disarming religious extremism", in which more than 100 officials and legislators will participate to coordinate the international efforts to table the proposed treaty in the United Nations.

The aim of this crowed funding is to meet the costs of this crucial stage for 4 months, such as meetings with officials, legislative sponsors , members of the advisory council and parliamentary sessions worldwide, including in Rabat, Rome, Vienna, Cairo, Dhaka and Brussels.

Please give as much as you can to help us enact a significant United Nations treaty that would make the world more fair, more tolerant and more peaceful.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
