Story

Hi Guys,

Some of you may or not know that my Mother in Law Mandy Barker was recently diagnosed with Cancer and as a result I have decided to help raise some funds to allow her to get some much needed recovery time in a calming and relaxing garden at her home. In March this year I will be running the London Half Marathon with my Sister in Law Kelly. My training starts today and with your support we can help smash this terrible disease. Please donate and share if you can, thankyou.

My journey as a Son in law to Mandy Barker started back in October 2011 when I had the privilege of meeting her daughter which later on led on to me meeting Geoff and my now Wife's 2 sisters, Kelly and Amy. From that day my life changed for the rest of my life. Mandy and Geoff have taught me values that impact my life every single day and without them I would be a very different person. Thankyou both from the bottom of my heart.

Over the last 5 years the Barker family have had numerous challenges which included open heart surgery for my best mate Geoff and to top it off last Summer, Mandy was diagnosed with Cancer and her treatment started a little while just before Christmas 2019 and will continue into Spring of this year when her condition will be reviewed by specialists at Adden Brookes Hospital. My Goal is to build a garden for her in her new home to help her recover and enjoy some much needed family time with her children and 7 Grandchildren. As well as this my Sister in Law Kelly is running alongside me and we will be supporting each other to smash this run to beat cancer by supporting the Macmillan cancer trust who have helped support Mandy at every step of her journey to battle this disease.

With your help we can continue to make amazing memories with someone that has given me the most amazing memories with a family supported by a Loving, caring Grandmother.

Thankyou all.

Brad.
