A few months ago I, along with colleagues at Archenfield Insurance Management decided to support a local project run by a charity in Monmouth. I have registered as a volunteer for their Befriending Scheme which helps elderly and isolated people with company and support.

This involves me attending coffee mornings with service users and other volunteers and visiting an elderly gentleman once a week at his home to chat and provide company too.

I first hand have seen the benefits that this provides to people in isolation and who just need someone to chat too.

Therefore I'm running a 10k on Sunday Sept 3rd to raise awareness and funds and encourage others to volunteer and help those who are in need of someone to spend a little time with them.
