Story
Brain injured children.org has been established in 2019 and has been a part of our founders dream for over 15 years. Reason being in 1987 his brother suffered a brain injury after swallowing a sugar coated wine gum. Yes something as simple as wine gum changed his life forever.
Though very true the reality is the sweet was not completely swallowed and got lodged on his windpipe cutting the oxygen supply to his brain. Luckily a trained NHS nurse was in the vacinity and performed a emergency heinic manoeuvre which was unsuccessful in dislodging the candy.
That’s when ambulance service arrived!
Fact of the matter is Jermaine Mcleod was medically brain damaged after the accident and the news sent a crippling shockwave through the founders immediate, distant to close family and community.
This is just the start of the complications which were yet ensue.
Every family, who lives with or who is going through the effect of tragedy, which has been the result of accident leading to brain injury or permanent disablement will understand that it is a long gruelling journey, to accomplish your new found future ambitions for your child. living with any disability is a daily challenge for both children and adults. Brain injured children.org have high aims in being able to offer competent support solutions to families and the children themselves through charitable means /volunteers/grants .
