    Story

    BRASSED UP FOR '24

We are Newstead Brass, one of Nottinghamshire’s leading brass bands. We play everything from classics to orchestral works and crowd-pleasers. But we urgently need your brass!

A shortage of bookings in 2023 and rising costs mean we are fast running out of cash to pay for rehearsal space and the professional staff who lead the musicians. We need around £15,000 a year to keep the show on the road - and that's not including the cost of repairing bent trombones or buying bigger trousers for bigger waistlines...

That’s why we’re aiming to raise £6,500 via our JustGiving campaign this Christmas. Please donate £10 or whatever you can afford to help keep us playing next year, which will be our 50th anniversary.
