This year my 8 yr old nephew was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and had to be flown to America for nearly 3 months of proton beam therapy.

To prevent the beam of protons damaging the surrounding brain he had to have a mask fitted that basically bolted his head to the treatment table to prevent any movement, he had to go through this nearly every day of treatment.

The NHS were kind enough to pay for the treatment but they weren't able to pay for the flights and accommodation so my sister and husband had to fun that. Luckily there are a lot of good hearted loving people out there who made small donations that paid for them to be able to go to America for the much needed treatment.

They're now going for regular followups at GOSH and signs are looking good! It'll be a few years before the true results show but for now things are starting to look a look better for his future.

Needless to say he's been through a massive ordeal this year and he's come through it swinging all the way, he's a really fighter for an 8 yr old! After all he's been through I think he deserves a really good Christmas present and I'd like to ask you if you'd be willing to help me please? I know I've left it a little late but even if we haven't achieved our goal by Christmas day he'll be over the moon knowing that he's got a gift coming soon from lots of kind strangers who cared enough to make this year special for him.
