Story

Three Lads, Three Phones and some support videos is how the Break Free Support CIC Journey began.

Break Free Support is a journey to freedom for those who are struggling with addiction and mental health problems. The Break Free Support team know exactly what it feels like to live a life of pain, misery and suffering the team have been through it and have fought the beast that once told them to drink or use drugs.

They are willing to share all their skills, experience and knowledge to enable others to Break free from their addiction and mental health struggles. The team have a passion to help as many people as possible to guide them on to a healthy and happier way of living life with guidance from qualified coaches, we support people who may have tried and failed many times over.

The Break Free Support recovery team have created something uniquely special taking each individual through a 12 week programmed which consists of weekend recovery walks, weekly gym sessions, meditation and mindfulness sessions, weekly group meetings and 121 meetings, also daily contact and support as well as life coaching.

We help build confidence and improve mental health by reducing anxiety, depression and negative moods leading on to better self-esteem and social withdrawal. We give participants the tools, techniques and coping strategies to use along with helping them get to the root cause/source of their issues.

Many of our participants have followed the traditional counselling therapy, rehab, antidepressants route which has been unsuccessful Our participants tell us that our approach is unique because we have walked in their shoes, understand the challenges they face, impart our knowledge and expertise as well as having a personal approach to help them break free

91% of people on our recovery programme have successfully broken free and are living a happy fulfilled life and are no longer merely existing

The Break Free Support team want to squash the stigma surrounding people suffering with addiction or low mental health, as part of the programme the team will support family members so they can get an understanding of why an individual had ended up where they are give them an understanding approach while dealing with the root problem.

We cant accept any more people onto our programme as we haven't the capacity or resources to support them, that why this just giving page has been set up to take our Break Free Support CIC to the next level and offer more people the support that the desperately need.

Why don't we just signpost people to other services I hear you ask, that's because we know what we offer is unique and works, in the early days we signposted people for them to be added to a waiting list which doesn't help people needing support right now.

Our waiting list is growing by the day and it breaks our hearts that we can't help everyone. All donations will be greatly appreciated by the three of us, our participants, future participants and their families.
