Story
We are the 'Bream Bandits', a group of twelve people living in the Forest of Dean: Rachel & Colin Bate, Chris Bryant & Andrea Reynolds, Mat & Clare Bond, Andy Jowett & Cara Shilson, Darren Self & Maddie Welch, Nigel and Mandy Peeck. After lots of talking, we are finally doing it... entering the annual Monmouth Raft Race, which is organised by the Rotary Club. This year is the 54th Monmouth Raft Race and takes place on Sunday 1st September 2019. As a team we will be designing, building, and paddling our raft along the River Wye, a 6.5 mile route from Monmouth Rowing Club to Whitebrook. We need your support to help us raise as much as we can for the designated charities, and make all that effort worthwhile. The Rotary Club are splitting sponsorship between St Davids and other charities. St David’s Hospice Care is a Gwent based charity providing care at home, free of charge, to patients who have been diagnosed with a life threatening illness.More info about the event: https://monmouthraftrace.com
