    Story

We are calling for your support to help us to continue to run the free Virtual Breastfeeding Cafe that Ruth Dennison and Carmelle Gentle started at the beginning of the covid lock down.

Ruth and Carmelle got together and initiated the Virtual Breastfeeding Cafe to help ensure parents still had access to breastfeeding support while the world was going through a major crisis. Breastfeeding is recommended from birth till 6 months exclusively and up till 2 years and beyond alongside other solid foods. Learn more about the benefits of breastfeeing here .
Breastfeeding is not always easy for mothers and many parents can struggle to breastfeed their babies successfully without professional caring support and reassurance to help them reach their infant feeding goals.

Due to the great success of the Virtual Breastfeeding Cafe and the continuous flow of parents coming from all different backgrounds, nationally and internationally.

We have been lucky enough to have a dedicated team supporting the running of the cafe and understanding how valuable continuity is for parents. The world is currently in financial crisis, breastfeeding / breastmilk can help to reduce the risk of poverty and contribute to great savings to the NHS.

Since our first session on the 3rd April 2020, we have had a total of 1709 attendee registrations to date (14th December 2022). Thank you all for your support. We understand how valuable this service is to parents and to help keep this free service available we would like to ask for you to help us hit our target amount of £7000, to cover the virtual breastfeeding cafe for an additional 12 month period.

You can learn more about the breastfeeding cafe which we host every Monday and Friday in the links below.
