Story
"The surrounding countryside is breathtaking, and the drive from Presteigne to Aberystwyth was voted one of the ten most beautiful drives in the world by the AA." (a quote from the Presteigne website)
The start of that drive is Llandegley Rocks, part of one the best views in Wales. This corner of Radnorshire is unmarked by large industrial structures but is under threat from a Wind Turbine development which will dwarf this iconic view, affect the source of an important river, destroy a nationally important Starling roost and cause damage to a right of way and common land. All this will have a detrimental affect of tourism which is a major source of income for this region. People who live in the area may well be affected by the noise and infra sound.
Please can you contribute to our fund to allow the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales to employ a legal team to help us prevent this.

7 years agoThank you for all your generous donations. The funds you have helped us raise will give us a chance to stop the beautiful Llandegley area from being blighted by an industrial wind farm. The page will be closing in a couple of days so please tell your friends that there is still time to help and every donation helps no matter how small.

We MUST fight the wind farm developers all the way on this and never give up. We have to protect our precious landscape, flora/fauna and wildlife.

Llandegley is worth fighting for in itself but if this appeal is allowed and the development goes ahead, the floodgates will be opened and the precedent for more windfarms across Powys will be set.

Wind turbines do not save carbon emissions by the nature of their intermittency they cause instability to the national grid, damage the environment and affect the health of those living near them. I am trying to raise awaremess about this issue.
