Story
Lancaster Cricket Club is a central part of our local community, providing a safe, supportive and welcoming place to enjoy sport and socialise since 1841.
As with most sports clubs, we rely solely on grants and fundraising to look after our facilities. Our outdoor practice nets are now more than a quarter of a century old, and in desperate need of refurbishment.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) agrees with us, and has offered to pay for half the £15,000 quoted for the essential repairs. To try and fund the rest, we are holding a 7k for £7k sponsored walk from the club down the banks of the River Lune to Glasson Dock.
