Story

Brendan Ingle, the adopted son of Sheffield and a boxing legend, was a former fighter who went on to train four world champions and change the lives of thousands of young people both in and outside his gym.

Brendan's impact on the sport and his community activities earned him an MBE for services and contributions to British boxing in 1998 and an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University.

With your support and the Local Authority's we would like to honour Brendan by creating a memorial statue in Sheffield city centre to celebrate his life and the positive impact he had on so many people throughout his life.

All money raised will go towards commissioning and creating the memorial statue.
