Story
14 military misfits, one daft idea: conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks all within 12 hours…give or take a blister- 24.5 miles of damp socks, bruised egos and 1,585 metres of 'character building' ascent questioning every life choice since breakfast. It’s not just a walk — it’s a poor decision dressed as a challenge. What could possibly go wrong?
A mixture of fitness levels and abilities from mountain heroes to first time novices we thought seen as though we are doing it, we may as well try and raise some money for a good cause. We will be following the route on The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
In memory of our colleague and friend Sqn Ldr Mark Long who sadly lost his life flying the mighty spitfire for BBMF last year the Mark Long Trust was set up.
This gives disabled people the opportunity to experience the joys of flying something Mark was passionate about.
So if you’ve got this far through reading and you fancy donating a few quid to a worthy cause, we will be extremely grateful as we trek the route wondering what we’ve got ourselves into.
Thanks for your support.
