I've raised £2000 to fund our European trip to Berlin to deliver a social action project to support our chosen cause, the blind community.

We are the Blackburn Rovers NCS Youth Board and we are raising money to fund our trip to Berlin, where we will take part in a range of activities to raise awareness for the blind in their local community.
We will be expriencing how blind and partial blind people do their regular shop in a supermarket, we will be putting ourselves in their shoes for the day, doing what we would call simple tasks but can be difficult for them.
We will be visiting a blind friendly museum and explore the different ways a museum can be adapted for their needs, we will also visit an audio only museum that has been adapted for the blind and will be visiting the blind friendly sensory garden.
We will then spend the day with their local blind charity called VIEWS, were we will be taking part in workshops and exploring different specialist equipment that they use in possibly thier every day lives.
We have some experience with working with our own local blind charity called Galloways, and loved raising money for them and seeing how much it helped their charity, and we would love to do this somewhere else too, even if its just raising awareness it will still make a huge difference for them.
We will take any information we learn in Berlin back to Blackburn Rovers and see if we can use our new knowledge to impact our local area to adapt places for the blind/partial blind.
