Brian and his wife Helen live in a very remote village in Dorset which does not have any public transport. They currently depend on friends in the neighbouring village to take them shopping. They had until last month their pride and joy a Volvo Estate which they had new some twenty years ago which failed in a big way with getting an MOT. The cost of repairs would cost as much of getting another car. Unfortunately the pair suffer greatly in health. Helen suffers debilitating Fibromyalgia and degenerative Arthritis and finds getting in and out of smaller cars very difficult. Brian suffered badly some years ago a life changing hit and run accident which has left him many injuries including brain and neck and leg injury and he gets through life smiling and says others have worse problems. Brian does most of the care of the house and cooking, cleaning and garden and just takes his time dependent on the level of his head pain. They need an estate car as Brian goes around the country side finding logs to keep them warm during the winter yo burn on their log burner. They have lived in their rented cottage for nearly 30 years and live a fairly simple life. This life has been devastated by the lack of getting out of the village and I am trying to raise some funds to get them out and free again as I fear they will just get worse and worse in mood and health without the possibility of getting out. They cannot get loans as they are both on pensions and Brian receives Disability Living Allowance at the highest level but they need this money to help feed them or they would get a mobility car. They have tried with my help to get loans but it would apprear most lenders are keen to to lend to 75 year olds dependent on the state for a large proporation of their income. Any amount however small would help get them a decent car to see then through the rest of their life. Please help
