    Story

Mark's official name is Brian. It's confusing, but all families have their quirky ways.

We tragically lost our brother in a road traffic accident on Wednesday 28th August 2019. He had just turned 43 years old. He left behind his fiancée Luisa 35, his daughter aged 5 and his son aged 4. And of course us, his 3 sisters. Luisa and Mark had recently bought their perfect forever family home, a home for them to raise their children and build their future together.

We would like to tell you a little bit about our brother...When Mark was 15 years old he was diagnosed with a rare heart condition . From then on there were several occasions where we were told he was not going to survive every episode his heart condition threw at him. Somehow he always did.

Mark had a lively and loving personality. He would do anything to help anyone, he was loving, funny, outgoing and also a fantastic cook. Mark had a sharp sense of humour and was always the life and soul of the party. He was never one to shy away from the dance floor and he was always first up on the karaoke.

Mark was very much a hands on Daddy, you could always hear the children squealing and in fits of giggles. He was not only a fiancé and a Daddy, he was our little brother.

The love of his life, Luisa, his beautiful daughter Madison and his gorgeous son Cameron were his absolute world and made him complete and content.

Mark passed away in a road traffic accident and that's all we can say at the moment. We never expected this. We lost him in such a horrific way, even now we cannot bear to hear or know any details.

Mark and Luisa were engaged and as they were not married Luisa is not entitled to any government help as married couples are entitled to. The money raised will go towards funeral costs, solicitors fees and unexpected costs that will come with losing the main family income.

Instead of flowers, the Selet family are kindly asking you to consider donating to the just giving site in Memory of Mark and also in support of Luisa, Madison and Cameron.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

    With love from Mark's sisters x x x x

We feel we should let you all know Mark's passing is now a criminal case. The criminal case is not against our brother, he is completely innocent. We cannot give you any more information as the case is on-going. We kindly ask that you respect the day for what it is, a celebration of Mark's life. As a family we do not want to hear or feel obliged to answer any questions about the case or anything related to the accident. We would very much like to hear your warm stories about Mark. I'm pretty sure we all have lots to tell!
