Story

Of all the challenges facing the human race today there is nothing more pressing than the loss of our bees. There are many reasons for the demise of bees. From pesticides to farmers taking away hedgerows to make larger fields. This destruction of the habitat of many of our native animals, birds and insects will in the very near future bring about the extinction of the human race. Our mismanagement of the land we live in has also lead to flooding of our homes from bad drainage and has brought about further issues of its own.

There are many areas of the United Kingdom in which land is so marginal that we can't farm it and as such these areas have been left fallow, or have been grazed slightly. At this stage this marginal land is being used in the wrong way. It would be of more use to society as a whole to have it "landscaped" in such a way that it will bring about a resurgence of our endangered species and provide the habitat needed for them to thrive.

I am looking to buy some of this otherwise uneconomical land to turn to this use. This sort of land varies in price per acre. However I believe for the amount I would like to achieve in funding, £5000, an acre of this land can be purchased, and several bee hives strategically placed around.

I am fully confident that with the right piece of land, landscaping, planting of the right flowers and attitude we can help nature back on its feet. Thank you.
