I have run the Edinburgh marathon and will be running a Run4hope 10k race on the 22nd of September to raise money for Run4hope which helps fund Recovery Homes for men and women addicted to drugs and alcohol. I was addicted to heroin myself and the Victory Outreach Mens Home took me through my journey of faith and I have been drug free for over 17 years.
I have recently battled with testicular cancer. I've had a testicle removed and had chemotherapy. Running has helped me gain my fitness levels back after everything.
This will be my last marathon at 40yrs of age and it's in the city where Victory Outreach first came to in 1995.
These homes have an incredible success rate. This is a worthy cause to support.
RECOVERY HOMES
Victory Outreach Manchester supports men and women in a number of recovery homes, our ministry is able to help rebuild and restore the lives of families and individuals caught in the cycle of crime and to help support those with drug and alcohol addiction.
These homes are a place where men and women can come and be built into the mighty men and women that God called them to be. We offer a 9-12 months residential programme. This programme includes prayer, bible studies, education classes, life skills training and advice.
