International aid

Story

Much of the focus of international aid in education has been on the lack of access to schools, particularly in poorer countries in sub-Saharan Africa, for example; Nicaragua. In sub-Saharan Africa, the research suggests 88% of children and adolescents will enter adulthood without a basic proficiency in reading, from the lack of suitable education facilities, lack of government funding, or from malnutrition leaving the child either physicaly and mentally at a lower advantage.

Without adaqute funding and help from other counties citizens, sub- Saharan Africa’s Literacy rate and the percentage of children education will continue to drop. ’Funding our education goal will do far more than place a child at a desk. It will unleash opportunity and hope,"

If this amount was raised, i will be; helping the local school children of Nicaragua, by improving the local infrastructure to ensure a safe and productive learning environment and teaching English. I would also be working on; retaining the local culture and heritage of the communities I would be staying in. (Colonial towns of Leon and Managua)
