Story

Racing the Cape Wrath Ultra - 8 days running over rugged mountain terrain, Fort William to Cape Wrath - 250miles / 400km

I'm about to set off on an epic Scottish fell race running throughout 8 days, covering 250 miles / 400KM between Fort William to the most northernmost point of Scotland, Cape Wrath. All to raise sponsorship for the Greater Manchester Asbestos Victim Support Group, Cumbria & Lancashire Asbestos Support Advice Group and Cheshire Asbestos Victim support Group. Please help with sponsorship.

It's taken a year of training in the hills, usually on my own and over tough and boggy ground to replicate what I'll face in the NW highlands. Most days are nearly 40 miles long (some longer!). The views will be stunning, but will the midges be biting?! You can follow me via the Cape Wrath Ultra race website, we wear trackers so you can follow my dot (number 62) along the course each day and I'll race under my married name Bridget Glaister.
