Story

Thank you to everyone who has made a donation which have enabled us to have held 3 heart screening days in Bridlington. These days have been held in memory of James 'Morph' Moorfoot and Kevin Alderslade. James died in February 2017 aged 28 whilst playing football for Langtoft AFC with Kevin dying in his sleep from a heart attack in Februaury 2018. Any young person aged 14-35 can come along and be screened for free at our screening days. To date we have screened 300 young people and want to keep our screening days a regular event in Bridlington and surrounding areas for the forseeable future. To be able to hold our first screening day in 2018

we successfully raised £5000 in a short period of time through justgiving and personal donations so have made the decision to hold regular screening days in Bridlington as the demand for this screening day was huge. Each week in the UK at least 12 young people aged 14-35 die from undiagnosed heart conditions, heart screening helps to detect these conditions preventing these sudden unexpected deaths. We need to raise £5000 for each day so we can screen 100 young people in the local community. By raising this amount and holding these screening days we could potentially save lives. We hope you feel able to donate and any amount would be very gratefully received, thank you.

Please note we also have a facebook page which is Bridlington heart screening day where we are giving a regular update of our total achieved, as we are also receiving donations all the time other than this justgiving page, thank you.
