I'm raising £500 to buy NEW LEGO sets for children at the Royal Alex Children's Hospital by running the Brighton Marathon

Story

I’m taking on the Brighton Marathon this year to raise money for something really close to my heart — bringing the power of play to children at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

Through Brighton Bricks, I’ve seen first-hand how something as simple as LEGO can make a huge difference. For children in hospital, days can feel long, stressful, and uncertain. LEGO provides a chance to escape, be creative, and just be a child again — even in a difficult environment.

We’ve done this before, and the impact was incredible. The LEGO sets we donated brought smiles, sparked imagination, and helped children and families create positive moments during tough times.

Every penny raised will go towards buying new LEGO sets for children staying at the Royal Alex — giving them something fun, calming, and engaging to focus on.

I am running Brighton Marathon, my first marathon in over 10 years, and have rediscovered how running has helped my mental health, which has been very useful especially dealing with injuries on my training plan.

Brighton Bricks is my social enterprise, all about promoting wellbeing through play, especially using LEGO bricks. We run multiple events from our LEGO mosaic workshops to our Minifigure Trails.
