Weʼre raising £2,500 to homelessness in brighton. Homelessness has become an epidemic, the poorest people suffer unecessarily when the richest hoard their millions.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
After being homeless when I was younger and more recently by choice when traveling, you learn what it is to be wild and almost forgotten as a human. Nowadays it's not just alcoholics and drug users on the streets, it's people that have lost jobs, had family difficulties, have mental health problems that are undiagnosed, or one of the many things in life that demands money, and through what ever cause failing to make ends meet! In our society this is something that should no longer exist. The richest generally will think themselves above all others but their greed and gluttony exceeds all of my worst expectations of humanity! My soul demands some change, in however small a difference I can make to people's lives. Winter is coming and many will die from hyperthermia, disease or lose hope and take their own lives because they are a nameless face that you walk past each day. Wake up and think about yourself in their position ! How do you think they feel having to beg to pay for a hostel room that is £15 a night. And that's before you start thinking about 3 meals a day. The government do nothing for the poor and fill their mates pockets with more money. I am not asking for a lot because I have almost lost faith in the humanity of humans. I wish to buy as many hyperthermia blankets and cold weather sleeping bags for as many people as possible in Brighton. I was lucky enough to have been given these things when I was homeless as well many other generous gifts from people and I wish to start giving back before these people risk death sleeping in freezing conditions. I spoke to one gentleman asking where he gets water and food from he replied "public toilets and whatever he can get from commercial bins" now you can be arrested for scavenging food because the waste is owned by the bin company and they pay for the weight of the rubbish? Wtf! If you have any further ideas and wanna join me on this project feel free it can't just be me seeing this ..... Surely ?!?
