Story
39 years old Babar Islam is a Pakistani national who was working as a labourer in Saudi Arabia since 2013 to provide a better future of him and his family.
Babar was due to return to his family when he and his co-workers were involved in a horrific road traffic accident, whereby a tanker collided with a bus carrying labourers near Tabuk on 9th April 2018. Due to the severity of this accident it was covered by news channels world wide.
There were a number of fatalities and Babar was severely injured including brain damage. Barbar was in a coma for approximately 6 months and has now regained conscious, but as a result now has very limited speech and minimal physical movement, leaving him bed bound and unable to do anything for himself.
The hospital in Saudia Arabia where Barbar has been treated is now willing to discharge him, so that he continues his care and rehabilitation in Pakistan with his wife and 3 young daughters aged 12, 11 and 5 . However, the hospital is asking for approximately £80,000.00 for the treatment that was provided to him before they will release Barbar.
Barbar's family are not in a financial position whereby they can raise that amount of money. Barbar's family have even looked into selling the family home but this will still not raise enough money that the hospital requires. Relatives and friends have tried to approach senior personal, doctors and the legal system but have had no success.
Please may I request your help to bring Barbar back home where he belongs, with his wife and 3 young daughters and where he can try to begin some rehabilitation to be able to do the small things we take for granted. Barabar may not return to his previous normal self but just being with his family will give him the strength he needs to get better.
Thank You!
