Hi everyone my name is Darren and I live in Bristol. I am Ruperts friend and I have created this just giving page to try and get the help that he truly needs at this time. Unfortuantly he is in the Suratthani Hospital in Thailand and he has been diagnosed with a variety of illnesses which require urgent treatment that comes at a cost to someone who is not insured. Of course the question of why did he not insure himself will be a question that you may contemplate, I did, however i reached the conclusion that you just never imagine that this could happen to you. As i write this i am not medically insured and whilst I have the privalidge of the NHS but if i needed treatment that came at a cost i may also struggle. Rupert is in Thailand with one person who has worked extremely hard to pay the bills so far but as time has elapsed funds have dried up amd he has been diagnosed with pancreatic issues , his liver is operating at an extremely vulnerable level and the treatment for this alone is 288,209.92 Thai bhat £6500 GBP. He may have to have this treatment 5 times in the coming month that they require him to stay as an inpatient. there is also a daily charge for the bed space, food, other medications and fluid changes are all chargrd for. The harsh reality is that if Rupert cannot revieve this treatment he may not survive and as friends, loved ones and compassionate humans we want to ensure he gets the right, correct and compassionate care he needs. The amount that you donate will contribute to all of the above and if we did by miricale make over the amount and there was momey legt over we would donate it to charity. Rupert has spent his life helping people and communities that he has lived in and regardless of his own posistion he has always shown compassion to those that he has come into contact with. thanks foe taking the time to read this and please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
