Chicco, our 62 years old father, has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, with only months of life expectancy. He’s currently in a hospice where he’s receiving excellent care, but his wish is to spend his last months in his homeland, Sardinia. Unfortunately the Italian embassy can only fund medically equipped plains for people who need lifesaving treatments or surgeries, which is not the case of our father, as there is no treatment or surgery available for him.

We have enquired about the cost of a private medically equipped air ambulance, and it’s between 18 and 20 thousand euros (15 to 17 thousand pounds). We can afford to put some of our savings toward this, but we’re asking for help to reach the full amount.

Our father has been a shepherd and a farmer for most of his life

and has a very deep bond with the land where he was born, and we want to do everything we can to grant him his wish.

We know it’s a big sum, but we only ask everyone to donate whatever little they can and together we might be able to bring Chicco home ❤️

A Chicco e' stato diagnosticato un cancro al fegato in stadio terminale mentre si trovava qui a York. Al momento si trova in un hospice dove sta ricevendo cure eccellenti, ma il suo desiderio e' di passare i mesi che gli rimangono nella sua Terra, la Sardegna. Purtroppo l'Ambasciata Italiana e' in grado di organizzare voli medici di rimpatrio solo per pazienti che hanno bisogno di cure o operazioni salvavita. Ci siamo informati sul costo di un'aeroambulanza privata, che costerebbe tra i 18 e i 20 mila euro. Noi contribuiremo con i nostri risparmi, ma abbiamo bisogno di aiuto per raggiungere la cifra intera. Chicco ha fatto il pastore per la maggior parte della sua vita, e' ha un legame viscerale con la sua Terra,e noi vogliamo fare di tutto per avverare il suo desiderio. Sappiamo che si tratta di una cifra importante, ma se ognuno riesce a donare il poco che puo' permettersi, magari tutti insieme riusciremo a riportare Chicco a casa.
