Story

Whilst we continue to save, anythingCalling all dog lovers, millionaires and angels. Some of you know our boy, some of you don’t but our little ginger prince was found at 12 weeks old in the streets of Peyia, Paphos and named after another foxy bombshell - Ned Stark of Winterfell.

For the first 10 months we had him, he was in peak condition but unfortunately, at the ripe old age of 13 months he was diagnosed with juvenile cataracts and is now completely blind. He is such a happy little chap who loves and is loved by everyone who is lucky enough to meet him. He adores the company of people and other dogs and is at his happiest when cradled in my arms watching Corrie and when running free in the countryside.

Sadly, due to his peepies not working he is very frightened of traffic as he cannot gauge how close the vehicles are and often flinches and crouches down when walking on pathways because of passing cars. He suffers from anxiety when left alone and he’s getting himself into more and more trouble - falling down rabbit holes and hurting his legs, walking a little too closely to Geese and more recently slipping into the Rochdale canal after misjudging the width of the pathway!

We keep eyes on him at all times but he’s something of a free spirit and manages to evade our watchful eye at times, which always ends in tears. With his little escapades becoming more and more frequent, we want to keep him out of harms way and restore his sight! He has seen a veterinary ophthalmologist in Cyprus and here in the UK where he now lives with me (I know some people are not fond of immigrants but this one is particularly delicious) We want Ned to see the sunshine again and whilst that’s not always a guarantee here in Mordor, West Yorkshire, our aim is to have his sight back by July so that we can enjoy BBQ’s with him and not have to worry he will wander a little too close and become part of the BBQ.

So far we have saved £1000 - The cost for a bilateral cataract removal would be £4000 and this is our target! Anything that anyone could contribute would be appreciated more than words can say! Please help us to get our little Lord of Winterfell out of the darkness in time for bikini season!
