Story

Self-named The Brisket Boys, the team is made up of Thomas Middleton, Liam Mansbridge, Jacob Letten, Aaron Coates, Matthew Byford-Loggie and Jake Turnbull and is led by engineering teacher Andrew Bennington. For the regional final, we were tasked with building a radio controlled 4x4 car and a body from scratch subject to limits set by the competition organisers. The car had to perform well on and off-road track, it had integrated electronics to switch on automatic headlights and included a tilt sensors for stability. We won first prize for our car and also took home the Best Engineered Car and Best Track Performance awards and now will progress to the National Final at Jaguar Land Rover Visitor Centre, Castle Bromwich. For us to compete in the National Finals we need your support.
