6 deaf men (Mark Pickford, Russell Basey, Rory Mortimore, Ed Stevens, Steve Bent and Martyn Brook) are cycling approx 100miles a day for 10 days. we will be supported by two crew members (Trevor wilson and James Barnes) We are starting on 1st July and will finish in land end on 10th July. There is a lack of support/ access to health information for deaf men in the Bristol area. Many deaf men miss out on gaining vital information about their health and mental health In their first language (British sign language). This funding will focus on ensuring deaf men in Bristol area have this opportunity. funding will provide workshops/ information sessions and cover the cost of interpreters.
