Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We wanted to get in touch and tell you about an exciting challenge that you can get involved with later this year.
We are aiming to raise £15,000 for the Intensive Care Unit at Southmead Hospital by cycling from the University of Bristol to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. That’s a massive 325 miles to cover in only 4 days.
Many of our team of cyclists are beginners, for whom the cycle to Paris will be a huge challenge. But nothing compared to the massive challenges faced daily by the ICU at Southmead Hospital.
No, we’re not asking you to jump on your bikes and pedal with us. What we need are the funds to make the trip possible so we can complete this challenge.
All of our riders have already donated money to go towards the cost of the trip but we need to raise more. Once the overheads of the challenge have been covered (ferry crossing, accommodation and the support vehicle), EVERYTHING else will be going to Southmead.
To say thankyou for the donations we receive, we will be offering a space on our University of Bristol cycling jerseys for the most SIX most generous supporter’s company logos.
Anyone outside the top six will have their company logo included on our team banner that will be displayed on the side of our support vehicle that will be driven to Paris for the publicity photographs under the Eiffel Tower.
We just want to say a big big thank you for any support you can give us.
