Story

A group of cyclists are planning to cycle around the IOW to raise awareness and much needed funding for these two charities that are fundamental to the community.

The Wave Project helps young people to reduce anxiety and improve confidence through surfing! Their award winning surf courses are proven to help clients feel calmer, more motivated and better about their future. Take a look at the Wave Project.

www.testicularcanceruk.com - Testicular cancer UK (checkemlads) is a survivor run support and awareness charity founded in 2004. Our main goal is to help men and their families through testicular cancer with friendship and support with an online group and you can ask for advice on our phone line or one to one mentorship. Unfortunately one of our colleagues has been diagnosed and is currently going through treatment, and as such the group would like to show their support in helping raise awareness and funding for this terrible illness.

Please support Stephen Atwell, Lee Virrill, Leuthen Richmond, George Blake, Ben Jardine, Jacob Gardner, Lee Wilson, Andrew Walker, Darren Mills, Jack Fryer, Paul Richards, Scott Peacock, Keiron Costello, Paul Henderson, Luke Benfield, Keiron Costello, Richard Hoare, Mark Smith, Daryl Robinson, Jonathan Kimber, Martyn Legg, Chris Jeffery, Lester Anderson, Sonny, Alex Elliott & Ian Butler to raise some much needed funds.

On 15th July 22 starting in East Cowes, they will take on a route that circumnavigates the island in a clockwise direction taking in the full stunning beauty of this majestic, yet deceptively rugged, island. As the route heads inland, they'll face several climbs as they cross the central downs of the island before heading back to the coast for stunning views across the cliffs.

• Covering a distance of over 100km (105km in total).

• Completing an entire loop of the island.

• Ascending over 1400m across the whole route.

Thank you for your support.
